We have written several columns on “going green”, “what is green” & “building green”. We have talked about saving energy, using new improved light bulbs, conserving water, and various other environmental items.  I ran across the coolest web site which offers a carbon footprint calculator that allows you to analyze the carbon footprint for you and your household.  www.nature.org/greenliving/carboncalculator.  My estimated emissions and my behavior are above the national average.  I must offset my carbon footprint and realize that achieving reductions in carbon emissions is truly a conscientious decision, I have realized that it is important to reduce energy consumption and I promise I will be more responsible to using conservation techniques and changing my behavior – starting today!
