The Building Blocks of the Community Award was initiated by the
Arizona Register of Contractors (ROC) and the Industry Advisory
Council (IAC) to recognize the community and charitable efforts
of Contractors, Sub-Contractors, and Trade Associations in the
State of Arizona. Of note the YCCA has donated several thousand dollars to local Construction Trade Programs for the purchase of tools to use in their
respective programs. The Board of Directors of the YCCA
has recognized the critical labor shortage in our region and will
continue to take the necessary steps to ensure that our youth
who are enrolled in vocational programs emerge from high school
with a skill set that not only fills said labor shortage, but
pre qualifies them for a job within the construction trades.
In addition, the YCCA was recognized for their efforts to protect
the consumers of the region by promoting the “Don’t
Go It Alone” awareness campaign. This ongoing campaign promotes
and reminds the pubic to use licensed and bonded contractors.
